More protests and letters to Polish authorities. A competition for the post of stud directors? A press conference today
The past weekend saw more unending protests against the dismissal of Marek Trela, Jerzy Białobok and Anna Stojanowska. On Saturday by the Torwar arena, where the Cavaliada fair took place, a previously announced demonstration was held, during which signatures were collected in their defence. A separate letter was also sent to the Polish authorities by the daughters of the many year and acknowledged director of Janów Podlaski Stud, Andrzej Krzyształowicz.

The wave of protests against the dismissals of directors Jerzy Białobok and Marek Trela, as well as Anna Stojanowska from the Agricultural Property Agency (APA), is not slowing down. Acts of support for the former stud directors of Janów Podlaski and Michałów are flowing in from all over the world and from various communities. An appeal for reinstating them to their previous positions has come from both representatives of the Ponidzie Region provincial
An earthquake among the authorities of Polish state breeding
In the evening hours of last Friday (February 19th) the Arabian horse breeding community in Poland was electrified by the dismissal of directors Jerzy Białobok and Marek Trela, as well as Anna Stojanowska from the Agricultural Property Agency. Limited information, presented first by the “Puls miasta” website from Biała Podlaska and later by the web of the Lublin daily newspaper “Dziennik Wschodni” were quickly picked up by nationwide media, including the known “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
Equator wins in Scottsdale, Lord El Shawan in Abu Dhabi
Last weekend (and Monday) turned up to be very successful for Polish-bred stallions performing under foreign banners. Michałów’s Equator (QR Marc – Ekliptyka/Ekstern), leased by Al Jassimya Farm (Qatar), bested his rivals in great style, in Glenn Schoukens’ hand, at the International Arabian Breeders Classic show, which is part of the prestigious Scottsdale show (USA), held for the first time more than 60 years ago – in 1955. Equator won his class of stallions 6-7 years old with the highest score of the show
Qatar National Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse Show for individual Owners
In January (22nd-23rd) Doha, the capital of Qatar, held the National Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse Show for individual Owners. The show, although not affiliated by ECAHO, was carried out in accordance with the rules of this Organization. The weather was not only beautiful, but more importantly favourable for people and the 129 horses that were presented on the show arena.
