Arabian summer festival at Janów Podlaski entertained the Arabian horse lovers once again. XXVIIIth Polish National Arabian Horse Show gathered smaller group of horses than the years before. Both yearling fillies classes were dominated by Ekstern daughters – 1A class was won by Sefora (out of Sawantka, Janów Podlaski) with 92 pts, before Eksterna (out of Emanta, Falborek Arabians) – 90 pts and 1B was won by Janów-bred Pinta (out of Pilar) – 90,33. Two years old fillies classes winners were Michałów-bred Gazal Al Shaqab’s daughters. Białka Spring Show Champion filly – Emandoria (out of Emanta) won with 92 pts beating Ejrene (out of Emocja) and Pistoria (out of Palmira) – both with 90,33 pts. However Polish National Junior Champion Filly title was given to Sefora, with Emandoria winning „only” the Reserve.
Both 4-6 years old female classes were won by Janów stud with the daughters of great Ecaho – Alhambra (out of Albigowa) – 91,33 pts, and Palmeta (out of Pilica) – 92. The rest of senior mare classes trophies belonged to Michałów-bred horses. The highest scored 7-10 years old mare was Emandoria’s dam – Emanda (also sired by Ecaho) – 93 pts and 11 years and older class winner became 19 years old Gaskonia. She was also the highest scored horse of the show – 93,67 pts and the only one that was given three times 20 for head and neck and movement. It was not a surprise that she was announced Polish Senior Champion Mare and Best in Show.
Gaskonia’s sons won the stallions classes. 4-8 years old group was won by Gaspar (by Emigrant) – 93,33 pts with 3 x 20 for head and neck (as his dam) and 9 years and older class winner was Grafik (by Eukaliptus) with 92 pts. Polish National Senior Champion Stallion was announced Gaspar and the Reserve title was given to his half-brother.
It was the first time when Polish Nationals were so „familiar”. In Best in Show besides Sefora competed the dam (Gaskonia) with her son (Gaspar). This was the great success of Michałów stud.
