Yesterday at Ermelo the Dutch National Show ended. Unfortunately none of Polish bred horses took part at the show but Polish Arabian horse breeders can be happy to hear that the full brother of widely used in Poland – Michałów, Janów and Białka studs – Enzo (Padrons Psyche – RD Bay Shahmpane) – four years old younger Amalfi, was very successful becoming National Reserve Senior Champion Stallion. Bred in US and owned by Double B Arabians four years old Amalfi was scored 356 in total, the same as the Champion – Pladykt (Plakat – Bint Edykta), grandson of Michałów-bred Edykt. It’s a pity then that the plan of leasing Amalfi by one of Polish private breeders was not successful in the end.
2007 Dutch Nationals were dominated by the progeny of Russian or partly Russian sires or both sires and dams. Descendants of such a horses as Balaton, Kubinec, Naftalin or Nabeg are famous for its excellent showy presence, good and strong conformation with Arabian type as well. Amongst the sires the most successful this time was Nadir I (Neman – Neschi by Kilimandscharo) inbred to Aswan, owned by Sax Arabians, Germany, that was the National Champion of this country as well as Junior Champion of Europe and All Nations Cup. This year both of his junior progeny won the champion titles in the Netherlands.
