The gallery on polskiearaby.pl website is proud to feature the works of Rafał Walendowski. A graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (a degree in the graphic atelier of Professor Andrzej Nawrot), he worked for a couple of years as a sketcher in the archeology department of the Regional Museum of Ziemia Kaliska (territory near the city of Kalisz). Currently he is an artist in the Forestry Museum in Gołuchów. The main theme of his works is horses. Particular horses, blessed with great charisma and beauty – pure bred Arabian horses. It is them whom he dedicates his paintings, watercolors and drawings. His passion for these animals was intensified by friendships with many renown authorities of the breed: Roman Pankiewicz, Zofia Raczkowska, Urszula Sawicka and Jerzy Dudała. The close circle of friends also included the late Professor Ludwik Maciąg.

Rafał Walendowski has participated in many exhibitions, but the ones that he hold dearest to his heart are those held at Korfowe Stud, the Gallery of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the Gallery of Maciej Falkiewicz in Janów Podlaski and exhibitions in Hamm and Ammerland in Germany.
Many of his works have been published in equine magazines, also abroad (“Arabian Horse World”, June 2006 – “Polish artist feature”, “Araber Journal, no 6/2001 “Great Artist’s Competition”).
