Michałów-bred Dumka (Laheeb – Dąbrowa/Probat), owned by Valley Oak Arabians, won the 6-8-year-old mares class in the 2nd Arabian Breeders World Cup taking place in Las Vegas. The mare Simeon Sehavi (Asfour – Simeon Heba/Raadin Royal Star), bred by the Australian Simeon Stud and owned by Dubai Stud – that we have mentioned in our previous news – won the 9-10-year-old mares class, collecting seven “twenties”. She will be the rival of Dumka in the finals.
Our correspondent Nancy Pierce spoke to some participants. Kathy Wilson of Wildemar Farm says: “Of course, Simeon Sehavi took everyone’s breath away! And I just saw the beautiful black bay stallion, Art Dekko TT (Audacious PS – HC Amareea/Echo Magnificoo), in his stall and I can’t wait to see how he shows tomorrow.”

Robin Rye of Timestone Arabians adds: “Simeon Sehavi was regal, but I also loved AW Fortune N Gold (Legacy of Gold – Heres Love/Traditio) in that class – just beautiful world class mares. It was exciting to see the exciting young black bay Gazal Al Shaqab daughter, WC Gorgeous Gazal win her class today – she looks to be another *Pianissima coming up.”
And Holly Dillin of Western Cross Ranch (Texas), breeder of WC Gorgeous Gazal (out of Lady Bey Khelishah/Bey Shah) proudly says: “There are lots of fabulous fillies and mares here today, but the highlight of the show for me so far was seeing our filly, WC Gorgeous Gazal, win over a beautiful class of 2-year-old fillies!”
