Kabsztad wins his class at the Al Khalediah show

Thursday is the second day of the show held in Riyadh (part of the Al Khalediah Horse Festival). Today the colts are being presented. Polish contender Kabsztad (Poganin – Kwestura/Monogramm), Michałów-bred and on lease to Saudi Arabia won the 3-year-old colts class, ahead of Ataa Al Khalidiah (by Aja Sangali). Polish colt (shown perfectly by Greg Gallun) scored 91 points, while his rival – 89,75. Another Polish-bred colt (sold abroad) that competed in the same class – Altis (WH Justice – Albia/Pers), presented by Johanna Ullström, took the fifth position (88,25). Spanish-bred and Australian owned Maharaja HDM (by Marajj) won the 2-year-old colts class, section A. RFI Farad (by RFI Maktub), Brazilian-bred, o. Aretusa Arabian (Italy) is the leader of the section B (90,25). ‘Judging is very good’, says Władysław Guziuk (AKF Poland), ‘and it was similar yesterday. There were no surprises’.

On Wednesday, the first day of the Al Khalediah show, the fillies classes and the yearling colt class were held. The yearling fillies section A was won by Noor Bint Eternity-D (by Eternity Ibn Navarrone-D), bred by Dion Arabians and owned by Ajman Stud (89,75 points). Layan Al Mohamadia (by Marwan Al Shaqab), br. Ray & Nora Tatum, o. Al Mohamadia Stud (89,50) was second.
The first place at the section B was taken by Nooran Al Khalidiah by Padrons Immage (90,50), br/o. Prince Khaled bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz and the second by Zainah Al Thaitha by Koronec (90,25), br/o. King Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz & sons.

Between the 2-year-old fillies (section A) Yamamat Al Khalidiah by Padrons Immage, br/o. Prince Khaled bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz turned out to be the best (90,75) while Jumilla by Thee Apprentice, Swedish bred, owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud placed second (90,25). Awarded with bronze in Paris FT Shaella by Shael Dream Desert, bred in Brazil, also owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud gained more then 90 points as well which gave her the third position.
Section B saw Nadjah Al Zobair by Marwan Al Shaqab, br/o. by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Ali Althani as the winner (91,25). Another Marwan daughter – Halah Al Khalediah, br. Prince Khaled bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, o. King Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz & sons (89,50) took the second place.

Badewieh AA by Laheeb, br. Ariela Arabians, o. Ajman Stud won the 3-year-old fillies class (92,50) beating Aseefat Al Khalidiah by Aja Sangali, br/o. Prince Khaled bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz (90,25).

The winner of the yearling colts class was Bander by Psytadel (90,00), br/o. King Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz & sons ahead of AJ Portofino by Vervaldee, br. Fontanella Magic Arabian (Italy), o. Ajman Stud (89,50).

1. Kabsztad (by Poganin), br. SK Michałów (Poland), on lease to Athba Stud (Saudi Arabia) – 91,00
2. Ataa Al Khalidiah (by Aja Sangali), br/o. Prince Khaled bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz – 89,75
3. Orion OS (by Om El Bahreyn), British bred and owned (Jane Fraser Brown) – 89,25
4. Saquer Al Shqair (by F Shamaal), Saudi bred and owned
5. Altis (by WH Justice), br. Falborek Arabians (Poland), o. Ismer Stud (Germany)
