Today in Menton (France) Michałów-bred Kwestura (Monogramm – Kwesta/Pesennik), owned by Ajman Stud, won the titles of the Best Mare of the Show and Senior Champion Mare during the Mediterranean & Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championships (Championnat de Pur-sang Arabes de la Méditerranée et des Pays Arabes). As the Michałów website informs (www.michalow.arabians.pl ), she had the highest score of the show: 94,38, including 4 x 20 for type and 3 x 20 for head and neck.

With an extremely high final note was rewarded also the Kwestura’s son Kabsztad (by Poganin), leased form Michałów State Stud by the Saudi Athba Stud: 93,38, including ,,20s” for type and movement. However, in the finals he was beaten by Spanish-bred (Haras del Mar), Australian owned (Mystica Arabians) 2-year-old Maharaja HDM (Marajj – Miss Yahsminah Elamal/Antar Elamal WN).

As the website www.menton.fr reminds, the show in Menton has already a 16-year-old tradition. The first show was organized 19 years ago and, besides a 3 years break, is held every year. This time an additional attraction was the performance of the band Los Hermanos, invited especially for this occasion.

The triumph of Kwestura (promoted by Frank Spönle’s team as “one of the most decorated mares in Arabian horse history”) undoubtedly gives publicity to the Pride of Poland auction in Janów Podlaski as it shows how high is the quality of horses than can be purchased in Poland. Let’s remind that Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, last year paid a record amount for Kwestura: 1.125.000 Euro.
