With a huge success ended the Janów-bred Pinga (Gazal Al Shaqab – Pilar by Fawor) performance at the Scottsdale show last weekend. First, on Friday, she won the 6-7 and older mares class, beating a Magnum Psyche daughter HED Caramba. And on Sunday, in the finals, she was second, just after the famous Abha Palma who became Senior Champion Mare. Dr Marek Trela form the Janów Podlaski State Stud told us: ‘We are very happy with Pinga’s result. She did very well despite no promotion. We knew that Abha Palma, highly promoted and well known, was the favourite horse. Abha Palma has won almost everything, while Pinga is on her way up. So her title is a wonderful news, especially that she won her class unanimously. Besides, I am sure that both mares will have more than one chance to fight in the future and maybe Pinga will show even better. But now, after Las Vegas event, she will return home.’

‘The show was held in suprising conditions, indoors, as due to a heavy rain the ring outside could not be used. The Scottsdale’s results are inpredictable, because it is a very strange show, hard to win and even harder to predict the verdict’, Dr Trela adds.

Pinga is on lease to Frank & Frank Partners, a partnership formed by Frank Hennessey (Hennesssey Arabian LLC) and Frank Chisholm (Palmetto Arabians). She was prepared for the Scottsdale show by Greg Gallun.
