The 1980 Soviet movie classic “Moscow does not believe in tears” has die-hard fans, and so do Arabian horses. Both groups should definitely schedule some free time on June 28-29th of this year, as that is the date of a new – organized with great splendor – championship in Moscow, held under the name of Moscow Arabian Cup. An indoor arena event, which will take place at a stadium in the “Olimpijskij” sports complex in Russia’s capital (one of the largest facilities of this kind in Europe) is not affiliated by ECAHO. The organizers promise many attractions, including a gala dinner in the nearby luxury Azimut Hotel (Gala Evening) and a touring of Moscow. And, what’s most important for participants from Western Europe, free flight transport (at a value of about 6 thousand euro per horse) for the
first 50 horses entered into the competition. Other European horses, including Polish ones, will have an opportunity at traveling together by land, with a 2 day stop at Janów Podlaski. Bronze trophies will be created by Willem van Beelen, an artist born in the Netherlands, whose sculptures adorn many palaces in the Middle East and are prized possessions for collectors. The organizers are offering 250 VIP tables. Manfred Hain, Koenraad Detailleur, Franceso Santoro, Renata Schibler and Silvia Garde-Ehlert will judge the show. There will be also a live stream. The entry fee (which includes also the box and some other charges) is 500 euro. %alttext%Among the show’s organizers are Natalia and Michel Hansen from Belgium, who have gained organizational experience during the Belgian Nationals and the Elran Cup.
Entries can be submitted from April 10th to April 25th.
