Today the final competitions of the 2004 World Championships in Paris took place. The hero of the day was Janów Podlaski-bred and owned Pianissima (Gazal Al Shaqab – Pianosa / Eukaliptus).

This yearling filly in the period of last 8 months achieved the spectacular success winning as follows:

– Białka Junior Spring Show Champion Filly (and Best in Show)
– Polish National Junior Champion Filly (and Best in Show)
– Falborek class C Show Champion Filly (and Best in Show)
– All Nations Cup Junior Champion Filly
– European Junior Champion Filly

And finally – World Junior Champion Filly that also made her “Triple crowned”! (winner of the All Nations Cup, European and World Chamionships at the same year). She is the first World Champion bred and owned by Janów Podlaski stud since 1985 when the World Champion Stallion became Piruet. She is also the first “Triple crowned” horse for Janów Podlaski! Congratulations to the breeders who worked hard to breed, raise and prepare Pianissima and have been waiting for the success for so long. Many thanks we owe also to the trainer – Johanna Ullstrőm (European Training Center, Belgium) who trained and showed Pianissima perfectly at the Championships.

During the World Championships finals Pianissima was also awarded as the highest scored junior horse of the show and the most beautiful head of the show. Now she can come back home – she won everything that could be won by Arabian horse – and she did it as a yearling! Reserve World Junior Champion Filly was named her biggest rival – Sundos Al Nasser (Ashhal Al Rayyan – MS Elvira / Barnaby) from United Arab Emirates.

At 2004 World Championships we heard the Polish national anthem twice this day but the second time was the dramatic situation. While announcing the World Senior Champion Mare the organizers made double mistake. First Loubna (Imperial Imdal – Imperial Kalatifa/ Imperial Al Kamar) from Israel was announced Champion and Polish El Dorada (Sanadik El Shaklan – Emigrantka/Eukaliptus) – Reserve. However, just after the national anthem of Israel was played it was announced that the mistake has been made and Loubna is Reserve and El Dorada – Champion. Unfortunately, just after changing the decorations on the mares and playing the Polish anthem it was announced again that the first verdict was correct! This kind of mistake really shouldn’t happen on a show like World Championships…

At World Junior Champion Colts competition no Polish horse participated. Finally Nijem Ibn Eternity (Eternity Ibn Navarrone-D – Naravna / Narav Ibn Aswan) from Sweden was named the Champion and LVA Maximus (Espano Estopa – Challon Salana / Carmargue) from Great Britain – Reserve. The last nervous moments for Polish horses’ fans came with World Senior Stallion Championships as Białka stud – bred Pesal (Partner – Perforacja /Ernal) owned by Klarenbeek Arabians (NL) was competing.

This rivalization had many favourites – WH Justice (Magnum Psyche- Vona Sher-Renea / El Sher-Mann) from Italy (amongst of all the winner of titles: European Reserve Champion Stallion, Towerlands A Show Champion, All Nations Cup Top Five, Italian Reserve Champion Stallion), Hlyyail Ramadan (Kamar El Zaman – Haboub / Bahar) from Jordan (2004 European Champion Stallion), Eternity In Navarrone–D (Ansata Sinan – Navarrone P / El Khadir P) from Belgium (amongst all European and World Junior Champion Stallion and Al Nations Cup Champion Stallion) or Imperial Baarez (PVA Kariim – BB Ora Kalilah po Orashan) from USA – U.S. National Top Ten Futurity Colt, Supreme Champion Egyptian Event, East Coast Champion, Citta di Castello Champion and All Nations Cup Reserve Champion. Finally Escape Ibn Navarrone – D was called Champion and Imperial Bareez as Reserve. This is a great success of Pesal that he was placed in Top Five just after Imperial Bareez (he lost only one point to Bareez!) and two judges nominated Pesal to be the Champion! Also Euskara bred by Białka stud was placed in Top Five.

After World Championships there was a change in ECAHO Cup rank for the Polish horses. As we have counted Pianissima couldn’t manage to be first before Sundos Al Nasser as this last mare competed in more shows than Polish one. Also Girlan-Bey that didn’t compete in World Championships should be placed second after JJ Carismatico. The new leader of senior mares rank seems to be Loubna – before Emira and previous leader Premiera that didn’t compete in WCh. The only one Polish-bred horse that improved his position was Pesal – he moved from 4th position to 3rd. Will the first ECAHO Cup season not be won by any Polish horse? We have to wait for official results at www.ecaho.org .

The official results of the World Championships finals you can find below (from www.salon-cheval.com) :

Mares 1 – 3 | Mares 4+ | Stallions 1 – 3 | Stallions 4+
