Arabian horse show season in Poland started with XVIth Białka Junior Spring Show – Polish National Junior Stallion Championships. Janów Podlaski stud proved that the best young horses of last times are born there – both National Champion and Reserve titles were won by Janów Podlaski colts, so this stud is still the Mecca of the best Polish future sires.

Michałów – bred Triplecrowned Ekstern was used at Janów Podlaski with very good, visible effects. His progeny was the largest group of Janów’ horses qualified into Top Fives of the classes and it’s horses won 5 amongst the 9 classes. The rest were won fifty-fifty by private breeders and Michałów stud. This last mentioned stud showed 2005 World Junior Champion Mare – Emandoria. This was the proof that sometimes it’s easier to win the important foreign show than the Polish one – last year Emandoria was „only” the Reserve Champion at Białka! This year she proved her quality and became the Champion with the score of 95 pts. (the highest of the show) – but not unanimously…

It is worthy to mention that the private owned horses were of very good quality and a lot of them were born in private – not state studs. Mr Przemysław Sawicki is the breeder and owner of two especially good stallions – out of Russian-blood Prokanitsa (NL): two years old Papion (by Ecaho) was scored 89 pts and yearling – Popo scored 90 pts became the best private bred yearling colt and the Best in Show private bred stallion.

Since few years the most successful private breeders are Alicja and Krzysztof Poszepczyński, Małgorzata and Józef Pietrzak and Agnieszka and Andrzej Wójtowicz. Gaja Selene – yearling filly bred by Mrs&Mr Poczepczyński, scored 90,33 pts was the highest scored private bred and owned horse of the show and the best private filly. The best two years old private colt became Milord Al Shaqab – bred and owned by Mrs&Mr Pietrzak and Kashira – bred by Mr Stanisław Redestowicz currently owned by Mrs&Mr Wójtowicz was the best two years old private bred filly.
