The 2006 European Championships for Arabian horses ended in Moorsele, Belgium. Poland was represented by large number of 23 horses – including 5 from private studs (Niewierz, Chrcynno Pałac, Falborek Arabians and Mr. Przemysław Sawicki). There were also quite a big group of Polish fans in Moorsele.

Horses from Poland were very successful this year – over the half of the group (12 horses) qualified to the championships. The most successful was Michałów State Stud – and they entered the largest number of the horses (12) from Poland. Three of Michałów owned Arabs were scored the highest notes from the Polish team – 93,5 pts. These were: Emandoria, Palanga and Esparto.

Emandoria, after the busy show season (Polish Junior Spring Show at Białka, Polish Nationals and All Nations Cup…) finally got the European Junior Champion title. Her stable mate – Palanga became Reserve Champion of Senior Mares. She was beaten by the highest scored horse of the show (93,9), the beautiful 2004 World Champion Mare Loubna from Israel. Besides, four horses of Polish team got the Top Five titles – Michałów bred Embra, Fallada and Esparto and Janów-bred Alert. Also Michałów-bred but owned by Dutch stud Fernando find his place at Top Five. This progressing stallion with his great presence and handling is winning the hearts of spectators (and judges) across the Europe recently.

Polish equippe got the success in Europe. In one month it will meet the Middle Eastern horses in Paris – what will be the result?
