When Polish Arabian horse enthusiasts were excited by the news of FS Bengali being bought to Poland, at 8th Sharjah International A Show Michałów-bred Esparto (Ekstern – Ekspozycja/Eukaliptus) won the Senior Champion Stallion title. German-bred SC Dagash (Davidoff – Verbala/Balaton) was Reserve. Both stallions are currently owned by UAE studs (Esparto on lease to Ajman Stud, Dagash owned by Albidayer). Both are also in training at German centers – Esparto, since he was put in training at Frank Spoenle’s, won the titles of UAE National Champion, International Champion in Qatar and Dubai International Reserve Champion. SC Dagash being trained by Scott Allman was Top Five in Dubai and National C class show winner. There was no great competitor – Al Lahab taking part in Sharjah this time. The show was judged by: Hassanain Al Nakeeb (Great Britain), Peter Gamlin (Great Britain), Ann Norden (Sweden), Marek Trela (Poland) and Pierluigi Rota (Italy).
