XXIX Polish National Arabian Horse Show was very exciting beginning on Saturday. The hard competition, huge number of yearling colts (this year judged in Janów for the first time) and the unsteady weather that made the show moved to the indoor arena before two years old stallions classes. The owners of Psytadel should be especially happy – this time this sire’s daughters won both A and B sections of yearling fillies: Espiria out of Ekspiacja and Espinezja out of Entaga. Elfera (out of Eiffla) was third.

– We wish Psytadel has been used in Poland as well since long time – says James Swaenepoel, Psytadel’s owner. –This is a great honor for us to be here seeing Psytadel’s get winning. Our dreams came true! Janów Championships is one of the most important shows

in the world in my opinion. I hope we can convince the State Studs to use him as well. Asked why Psytadel offspring didn’t achieve such good result earlier at Białka Spring Show/Poland James says that the horses were not ready enough working hard before Janów’ competition.

– We wish to lease some of Polish mares like Emmona, Palmira, Georgia or Emandoria to try them with Psytadel, unfortunately we have been refused. These mares are for lease to US only – James Swaenepoel adds.

At 3 years old mares Michałów State stud had its triumph as expected – with great Gazal Al Shaqab daughters: Ejrene, Norma and Pistoria.

The favorite of 4-6 years old mares was Primadonna with her outstanding movement. She was the class leader until Janów-bred Etnologia came – getting 3 x 20 – two for movement and one for type. The B section of 4-6 was won by Palanga with one 20 for head and neck.

The event was very late to the planned time. The elder horses’ clases were held until the very late evening. Due to the huge number of horses the championships were moved for Sunday.
