Just in a week, on 18th October the most important in US and one of the most prestigious Northern American events dedicated to Pure bred, half-bred and Angloarabian horses will begin – the US National Championships. To the event that will take place at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque (NM) until 27th October nearly 3000 horses are entered (as on the day of 27th September).

The horses will compete at 97 different classes – besides well in-hand (Halter/Breeding), also such categories as Park Horse, English Pleasure, Hunter, Hack, driving, ladies sidesaddle, native costumes or western classes as: Reining, Cutting, Trail, Working Cow will be run. The classes are also divided into professional and amateur handlers/riders. The organizers also provide with many more attractive events as many shop stalls and evening parties gathering horse breeders and enthusiasts from all over the world.

As far as we already know, Polish breeding at 2007 US Nationals will be represented by the horses being trained by Greg Gallun, as follows:

Emandoria by Katarzyna Dolińska

– three years old Emandoria (Gazal Al Shaqab – Emanda), bred and owned by Michałów State Stud, on lease to Pride of Poland US, LLC. Emandoria will compete at Junior Mare Breeding, amongst the group of 21 fillies. The eliminations of A and B groups will take place on Tuesday, 23rd October at 8:00 am, semi-finals and finals – on Friday, 26th October at 7:00 pm;

– 12 years old Michałów-bred Elandra (Monogramm – Erlanda), sold at 2005 Pride of Poland for 290 000 Euro to USA then re-sold (the price of $700000 was speculated!) to Mystica Arabians (Perth, Australia). The mare will compete at Senior Mare Breeding, with 17 other mares. Semi-finals and finals will be held on Tuesday, 23rd October 8:00 pm. There are no eliminations for Senior Breeding Mares in the program – it is probably due to the small number of entries (that sometimes happens at Nationals’ senior breeding classes). In this case the mares will compete only at semi-finals and finals when the Top Ten and the winners will be elected;

– born during Michałów-bred and owned Egzonera’s lease to Jade Creek Arabians (US) yearling colt Aria Egzalt (by Gazal Al Shaqab), owned by Pride of Poland US, LLC will compete at Yearling Colt/Gelding Breeders Sweepstakes. There are 44 horses entered to this class, eliminations of A and B sections will take place on Monday, 22nd October at 7:00 pm, semi-finals and final on Saturday, 27th October at 8:00 am.

Famous Midwest Training Center by David Boggs has just announced it’s US Nationals contenders so we already know that Michałów-bred Elandra will compete amongst of all against Maggdalina – daughter of Magnum Psyche and Pure Polish in pedigree – Zolina (by Andrzejevo), 2006 US National Reserve Champion – GAA Millenia (Magnum Psyche – Bey Cherie Amore by Bey Shah) and DD Crown Jewel, sired by Magnum Psyche and ¾ Polish pedigree Crown Victoria by Marsianin.
Emandoria will meet 2006 Top Ten US National title winner and 2006 Canadian National Reserve Junior Champion – Magnums Julep (Magnum Psyche – Beyon Fire) as well as the chestnut Kharmel (Khadraj NA – SF Georgia).
Aria Egzalt will compete against the Regional Champion Colt Prince Valentino (DA Valentino – JJ Princessa by Magnum Psyche), sired by US National Yearling Champion, US National Futurity Champion, US National Junior Champion Stallion, Canadian National Champion Stallion and Scottsdale Grand Champion Stallion. DA Valentino (Versace – DA Love by Padrons Psyche) himself will also compete at 2007 US Nationals again. Another Aria Egzalt’s rival will be Mariachi FA (Marwan Al Shaqab – VH Leading Lady by Padrons Psyche), 2007 Unanimous Region 7 Champion AHA Sweepstakes Colt and Scottsdale Reserve Champion Yearling Colts 2007.

Thanks to our special reporter at US Nationals, Nancy Pierce, we will place the results of Polish horses with the pictures during the days of show.
