The breeding class of Monogramm daughters is well known to all aficionados of the Arabian horse. Convinced about their value can be the following Polish private breeders: Mr. And Mrs. Pietrzak (Minnesota Arabians), owners of the mare Mina (out of Minerwa), the Poszepczyński Family (Chrcynno-Pałac), owners of the mare Granada (out of Grenlandia), or Mr. Lech Błaszczyk (Słowianin Stud), owner of the mare Eklezja (out of Erudycja). Also remaining in „private hands” are Gwarka (out of Gratka) of Mr. And Mrs. Wójtowicz (Bełżyce Arabians) and Poruta (out of Premia), property of Mrs. Katarzyna Dolińska (Zalia Arabians). Of course on the successes of Michałów’s mares we could go on without end.

Purchases made on the Arabian horse market show that Monogramm’s daughters are still a commodity very sought after and what’s interesting, this movement goes both ways. Only last year, not counting the Janów Podlaski Sale, which saw Errara (out of Estela) sell to Dubai for 165 thousand euro, a couple of mares made their way to the USA: two from the stud of Mr. Tomasz Tarczyński (Grabów Stud): Workuta (out of Wiaźma) and Erotonia (out of Erotyka), as well as Walentyna (out of Wilnianka), owned by Mr. Jerzy Chrapkowski. While at the end of the year the journey was reversed – Nazaret Arabians welcomed Liza Monelli (out of WC Amarige by Sstanding Ovation) from the US. Her new owner, Mr. Wojciech Parczewski, says: „I have always dreamt of such a mare, a chance at purchasing came about, it would have been a pity to let it slip”.

Currently for sale offered by Sowiniec Stud is the mare Gracja-Bis (out of Grenada), the dam of Girlan Bey. Mr. Leszek Jurga comments this decision: „The mare has left a very good daughter, Galaktyka, at our stud. And as she is not of our breeding, we have decided that her place can be taken by younger generations”.

Some Polish private breeders are still searching through American offers. But one does not have to be a prophet to guess that both buyers from Poland and abroad will probably stumble upon a „Monogramm” in the offer of the upcoming Pride of Poland Sale in Janów Podlaski this August.
