The Janów-bred Olita 1996 (Ecaho – Orawa/Argo), leased by Valley Oak Arabians, lived up to everyone’s expectations and won the Reserve Senior Champion Mare title. Earlier, after a nice presentation, she placed second in her class (behind JJ La Estrella by Magnum Psyche, US, Canadian and Brazilian Champion who was also named Senior Champion Mare in Scottsdale), which which already secured her a title of Top Ten at this competition. The Reserve Senior Mare title is yet another addition to her previous achievements: All Scandinavian Champion Mare with Best in Show, World Top Ten, The Arabian Breeders World Cup Top Five in Las Vegas, as well as a Top Five in the Polish Nationals.
The heralded appearance of the Białka-bred Hun (Gazal Al Shaqab – Hula/Penthagonn), owned by The Hun Partnership (with Greg Gallun among others), did not come to pass. The stallion remained in California and will be shown at a later time.
Also a no-show was Janów’s Equifor (Gazal Al Shaqab – Eqviria/Pers), leased by Marsha Parkinson.
As expected, the group of Polish breeders will not be returning alone from the trip to Scottsdale – Poland will soon welcome three horses purchased in the US. We will also learn more about an opportunity to breed to a stallion with a partially Polish pedigree. Details soon on polskiearaby.pl website!
