Altis at Al Khalediah Show by Erwin Escher
Altis at Al Khalediah Show by Erwin Escher

The rumors around the sale of Polish National and All Nations Cup Res. Champion Stallion and class winner at Al Kalediah Internationals have been officially confirmed. Altis (WH Justice – Albia by Pers) – the most entitled Polish Arabian horse private bred and still owned while winning by his breeder – Falborek Arabians, will leave Poland soon.

Altis was purchased by Saudi/Dutch/German partnership. The price of the stallion is kept in secret but the breeder Krzysztof Goździalski mentions about Altis being the highest selling Polish stallion since the sale of Michałów-bred Derby winner Druid (sold to Turkey for $500 000).

“The possibility of further promotion of the horse and Falborek as his breeder was the main reason for this sale”, Krzysztof Goździalski comments. “Altis will not disappear at a Middle Eastern farm as many of the past champions but he will keep competing at the shows promoting our stud but also Polish breeding being the proof for Polish private breeding as the one that can offer the top quality horses to the world – such as Altis. We think it was the best moment for the sale considering his last successes at the show arena but the reason for it was also the refusal of placing his dam Albia on 2008 Pride of Poland sale main list. I think Albia has already proven herself as the top quality broodmare passing the best features of the sire to her progeny so while placing her for the public sale we can not offer her as silent sale mare as she will not achieve the minimum price we are asking for this broodmare. Albia is in foal to WH Justice once again due to the 2009 season so the foal will be full sibling to Altis – and we are not sorry for leaving her at stud. To Altis himself I owe my big thank you for placing our stud name amongst the best in the world and for the great memories we have thanks to his successes. As I could notice this colt was making a lot of rumors and interests around himself while appearing at the showrings – he was truly the showrings’ king”.

As Falborek Arabians owner mentions, Altis was going to appear at Wels A-show in Austria, Menton in France and was going to compete for Polish National Champion title once again. He was also to join the 2008 Pride of Poland sales list. Despite his sale the breeders promise his further appearances at the shows soon. Falborek Arabians keeps also 50 Altis breedings for the future use.
