Today, at the beautifully settled Norwegian town of Halden the International Arabian Horse B show begins. Polish breeders, encouraged by the big successes year ago gained by the horses bred by Stanisław Redestowicz: Primadonna (Padrons Psyche – Pelargonia/Alegro) owned by Tomasz Tarczyński – 2007 Senior Champion Mare and Best In Show and Kashira (Magnum Psyche – Kahila IV/Ibn Bint Inas) owned by Bełżyce Arabians – 2007 Junior Champion Mare, this year took a number of Polish private bred horses to the show that, probably because of the long distance from the continent, was not so popular amongst the European top trainers, being more easy for young debutants.

How surprised they were seeing the top training centers representatives at the place upon arrival! The large number of 109 horses are entered to the show – nine brought by well known Frank Spoenle center and seven by Johanna Ullstrom’s European Training Center.
Tomasz Tarczyński, who brought not only the perpetual trophy for Best In Show horse gained by Primadonna year ago but also his new purchased US-bred yearling filly Daisy FF (Da Vinci FM – AP Sheez Sassy/Bey Shah) to Norwegian Internationals comments that the show is going to be a hard competition this year. Especially amongst the youngsters entered in large number and representing world leading sires as Gazal Al Shaqab, Marwan Al Shaqab, WH Justice, Ajman Moniscione, Psytadel, FS Bengali and Polish-bred Reserve World Champion Stallion Girlan-Bey.
Poland presents 6 horses private bred and owned but there are also some born in Poland or pure Polish to compete.

In yearling fillies class with 18 entries Daisy FF mentioned above will meet some young get of WH Justice and Ajman Moniscione.
The same number of yearling colts were entered with Polish ones: black Sadamin (BS Black Fable – Silvatica/Fawor) from Silvatica Black Arabians and very handsome Elmaran (Al Maraam – Ekstera po Ekstern) from Nazaret Arabians, that has a lot of chances for good result competing with Michałów stud bred and Swedish owned Escapar (Gaspar – Escuela/Pesal) from Sinus Arabstuteri amongst the others.

Two years old group contains 9 fillies and 8 colts this year – the progeny of Marwan Al Shaqab, Girlan-Bey, Gazal Al Shaqab and WH Justice. The one superb interesting is Blommerod bred and owned Maranta (Gazal Al Shagab – Margotka/Algorytm) – full sibling to 5 years old Magora owned by Al Kalediah Stables (KSA) – Reserve Champion of ECAHO shows at Menton and Wels. Poland will be represented by the colts successful during St. Petersburg Open this year – Reserve Junior Champion from the Russian show Rascal (BS Black Fable – Ravenwood Nejma/Ravenwood Sihr) from Silvatica Black Arabians and the Junior Champion Echo Ofira (Gaspar – Egzyna/Eldon) owned by Janusz Ryżkowski. These colts will meet a strong competitor, class winner and Top Five from 2008 Wels show – Aja Sandstorm (Psytadel – Sanadina/Sanadik El Shaklan). Lower number of horses will take part at three year old classes with some outstanding horses as Khidar daughter Bacarolla (out of Baronna by Emperator) from Blommerod and the colt sired by Eternity Ibn Navarrone-D Emotion (out of Praetoria by Kubinec).

Bełżyce Arabians will participate with Kashira again, that is not so lucky having the large number of 17 competitors in her class of mares 4-7 years old. The same age group of stallions will contain the Reserve World Champion himself, Girlan-Bey (Pesal – Gracja-Bis/Monogramm) bred by SK Niewierz, owned by Oks Arab, that will meet the promising Al Lahab son, El Ran Cup champion foal El Sid (out of Swana by Kubinec) with Frank Spoenle on the lead.

The smallest will be the classes of elder participants but they contain some interesting Polish accents as Ekologia (Arbil – Elsterna/Woroblin) from Sweden and a proven racer well known from Warsaw Służewiec racetrack – Bumar by Druid out of Bumaga by Mukomol, bred by Anna Nieora-Tschkuaseli and owned in Norway.

The show starting at 9:30 am on Saturday is going to be an interesting competition. Check out our website out for the updated results.
