Middle East show season has already begun. First of the events scheduled for a period from January to April took place last weekend – a C-show in Ajman (UAE). (You will find the photo gallery from Ajman by Erwin Escher here.) The Al Khalediah Horse Festival – an auction, races, endurance competition (FEI CEI *** 120 km) and show will be next. The Festival starts on January 25th. Just as last year, this time we will also support a Polish contender – Kabsztad (Poganin – Kwestura/Monogramm) bred by Michałów Stud and recently leased to Saudi Arabia, to the Athba Stud. At the auction two horses with partially Polish pedigree will be offered: the grey stallion Shaal Al Khalediah 2003 by Gazal Al Shaqab and out of Polish-bred Saba (Etat – Saszetka/Engano) and a yearling bay filly by Padrons Immage out of Polish-bred Wieża Wiatrów (Ganges – Wiaźma/Arbil) – Balquees Al Khalediah. Another Polish accent of the event will be one of the judges, Dr. Marek Trela from Janów Podlaski State Stud. The B-show in Riyadh will start on January 28th.
Next event in the Middle East will be the WAHO Conference in Oman (we have already written about it: The WAHO Conference 2009 in the Sultanate of Oman), from February 1st to 5th. On February as well (12-13.02) an international B-show will be held in Abu Dhabi and at the end of the month – an international A-show will take place in Qatar (23-25.02). In March two international A-shows are announced: in Dubai (19-21.03) and in Sharjah (26-27.03). April will bring a C-show in Saudi Arabia: Al Mohamadiah Show (01-02.04).
