WH Kaneko MS (Marwan Al Shaqab – WHK Antiffany Bey/Beythoven MC) came to Poland last week. This 5-year-old stallion will be used by Polish state studs this season. He was bred by Wendell Hansen (USA), the breeder of WH Justice and is owned by Al Safinat Arabians from Cairo (Egypt). His dam line is Ghazieh d.b. which is full of Polish horses – we find Bask four times at this side of his pedigree, and also Arax and Wielki Szlem among others. The sire line carries Polish blood as well, through Marwan Al Shaqab and his granddam Kajora.

“I find this stallion very impressive”, Anna Stojanowska form the Agricultural Property Agency says. “He has many positive traits that Marwan’s offspring usually have: he is dry, he has a long, beautiful neck and a lot of type. And he is well built that is not so often in Marwan sons: he has

good topline and legs. Another important thing is that he is tall without a heavy head what not always is going together. So, it in this case it is not only the matter of an interesting pedigree, but also of an interesting horse. Additionally, he is a good mover. We saw him moving very well”.

The stallion has not been shown till now as his former owner, the Shah Arabians stud from France, did not take him to any show. The new owner is planning to show him this summer in Europe. But Kaneko foals are already successful. From his first foal crop (2009) four of five foals were shown the same year and all of them did it very well. At the French Nationals (Vichy) the filly Shah Dokhtar became Foal Champion, while the colt Shah Djahan got the Reserve Champion title; Shah Mabrouka was named Female Foal Champion at the show in Bordeaux, while Shah Wahid Male Foal Champion. Last year 15 foals by WH Kaneko MS were born; in 2011 twenty are expected.

The horse is standing at the Gerald Kurtz Traing Center in Konik Stary.
