The event known from 2008 as Al Khalediah Arabian Horse Festival is now organized as Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Arabian Horse Festival (PSAIAHF) and is dedicated to the memory of HRH Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the late father of HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the patron of the event. PSAIAHF has been held (under a new logo) from 21st to 25th of January and it included an endurance competition (FEI CEI ** 120 KM), races and a three days long, ECAHO Title Show. Ronny Vosch was the festival manager.

The Saudi show turned out to be very satisfying for the breeders from Michałów State Stud – both mares being leased to Middle East have been aworded with medals! And both El Dorada (Sanadik El Shaklan – Emigrantka/Eukaliptus), Bronze Champion Mare from Paris, representing Athbah Stud, and Emandoria (Gazal Al Shaqab – Emanda/Ecaho) who is returning to the ring, currently sporting the colors of Ajman Stud, have shown all what we expect from a Polish mare: a combination of type, charm and outstanding movement. El Dorada won Silver Medal and Emandoria Bronze. Each of them gained as much as seven „20s” competing in the classes, but both were beaten in the finals of senior mares championship by FT Shaella (Shael Dream Desert – Soul Pretty TGS/Shahllenger, bred by Rancho Quatro Estacoes from Brazil, owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud). But we have to admit that especially the „Ajman direction” is a very effective one when talking about „sending” Michałów’s mares abroad: the leasing of Emira, now Emandoria, the recent sale of Ejrene, and of Kwestura before.

The performance of Psyche Kreuza (Ekstern – Pallas-Atena/Ecaho) from Chrcynno-Palace Stud should be also appreciated. The mare was tired after a long trip from Belgium (where she is in training) and she was not able to show all of her qualities. She took 7th place in her class (with two „20s” for movement). But her owners are the only Polish private breeders that try their luck at shows in the Middle East.
