We are pleased to make available the 2nd part of the archive footage from 1985, filmed at Janów Podlaski State Stud, dedicated to Polish Arabian horse breeding. “This material was filmed after the Polish Ovation Sale in 1985”, explains Marek Grzybowski (Polish Prestige), the co-author of the video. “The event stirred a great interest in the Polish Arabian and Poland itself and attracted new clients. Arabian Horse Video Magazine, a film crew from the US, travelled to Poland and together with Animex made a film about Polish breeding”.
The material, filmed in early spring at Janów Podlaski, presents the then stars of Polish Arabian horse breeding: mares Harmonia, Elewacja, Algeria, Etruria, Candela, Pilarka, Arra, Fantastka and stallions Palas, Balon, Gil and Eternit, among others. The film features words from Andrzej Krzyształowicz and Dr. Marek Trela.
“The film introduced Americans to the natural methods used in Polish breeding. It also showed the 200 year old tradition and history of horse breeding in Poland. The film portrayed Poland’s main breeder, Andrzej Krzyształowicz and his immense knowledge on the many generations of Arabian horses”, explains Marek Grzybowski.
This is the second video from four filmed in 1985. The first one, a music clip, is already available on our You Tube channel. The third will be dedicated to the Polish National Show, and the fourth to the Polish Prestige Sale.
