As the National Support Center for Agriculture (KOWR) informed today, Professor Sławomir Pietrzak has been dismissed from the board at Janów Podlaski Stud. Duties of the president until a new president is selected by way of a competition, will be served by Grzegorz Czochański, a director in the Supervisory Department over Strategic Companies. “I am returning to my place, to the university, where I have been working for more than 40 years. I have plenty of various tasks as a judge and trainer. I have a place to return to”, Sławomir Pietrzak told the Onet.pl portal. Indeed, during his tenure as president Sławomir Pietrzak also had many other obligations. He was the president of Janów since June 20th, 2016.

Responsible for breeding matters will be Professor Krystyna Chmiel. Upon Sławomir Pietrzak being appointed as director, she praised this decision. “I respect the title of professor”, she told us. “35 years of working at the university taught me to respect such achievements”. Today she has changed her opinion. “Professor Pietrzak did not have anything to do with Arabians before. He was not willing to listen to advice regarding breeding, he did not accept my propositions matings”, she told “Dziennik Wschodni”. “Mr Czochański has knowledge on breeding. It’s important that the president is a good manager with good advisors by his side”.

Krystyna Chmiel’s first duties will include the establishing of a breeding plan for this season (for mares that have not yet been bred) and the lists of horses for the National Championship and Pride of Poland Sale.
