As every year, huge emotions accompany the announcement of the Pride of Poland and Summer Sale offer in Janów Podlaski. A few days ago, the organizers published the preliminary list of horses on the new website of the event: www.prideofpoland.eu. This year it contains 36 specimens from the state studs and 9 horses from private breeders, and among the celebrities known from show rings in recent seasons we find, among others, Michałów’s Emandilla – bronze medalist of the Polish Championships, Al Khalediah European Arabian Horse Festival Championa and class winner from the European Championships from two years ago. From the same stud there is also a favorite of the public – the 2019 European Reserve Champion – Poganinka and Esmeraldia – the full sister to the multi-champion stallion Emerald J, or the sold last year for 72 thousand euro stallion Ermitage. This mare also became famous as the dam of last year’s European Champion – El Esmera. The stud in Janów decided to offer, among others, Euzona, who successfully competed at the shows last year, taking, among others, third place at the World Championships and second at the European Championships. Białka Stud will put up 4 horses at this year’s auction, including the very interesting daughters of Esparto and Parys K. As every year, the state studs decided to supplement their offer with stallions and this year the undisputed star in this category will be one of the most successful Michałów stallions, a respected sire – Kabsztad, who has already fulfilled his breeding expectations in Poland.

This year, the organizers announced that more places will be available at the “main” auction for private breeders. In fact, the offer of these studs includes more and more horses of the highest world level in terms of achievements, type or desirable pedigree. This year, the offer of the submitted horses includes the offspring of sought-after sires, such as Ajman Moniscione, Shanghai EA or RFI Farid, and these horses proudly represent Polish breeding, descending from the best Polish dam lines. Here we can also find show veterans, such as the stallion Pireno from Stanred Arabians or the mare El Farida from Nana Arabians.

The list is not closed yet and the organizer reserves the right to introduce changes, especially since the deadline for applications to participate in the auction is June 17th. The division of horses for the Pride of Poland and Summer Sale auctions is not known yet. Currently, photo sessions with the official photographer of the auction – Glenn Jacobs, known for photographing in the most famous breeding centers in the world – are taking place at the state studs. It is also worth mentioning that this year, customers from all over the world will be able to participate in the live auction, even those who do not decide to come to Janów Podlaski – the auction will take place in a hybrid system, combining submitting offers from the indoor arena and via the Internet in real time, which is to increase the number of potential bidders. Let us remind you that this method has already proved successful and had a good financial result during the winter auction in Michałów in January this year. – After two difficult years for all of us, in which first the pandemic, and more recently the war across the eastern border, dominated all media and influenced the lives of almost every citizen, our breeding was at an important stage.
We are convinced that such an important event for Arabian horse breeders as the Arabian Horse Days will be organized without any problems in terms of organization. The National Show is of key importance during this holiday. It is an important selection test, a comparison of horses born in Poland, their evaluation and selection of the best representatives in the breed, as well as an opportunity to present Polish breeding achievements to foreign breeders coming to Janów, or watching the broadcast on the Internet. However, selling is an integral part of this event. This year, the auction will be held in a hybrid system, online and, of course, live, in Janów Podlaski. For us as organizers, the successes of Polish Arabian horses around the world, both breeding and show, and their proper promotion, are of priority importance. The last editions of the auction showed that Polish horses are in demand, and that customers are willing to pay huge amounts of money for outstanding individuals.
We want the auction to be an exclusive sale of the best, selected horses. We are also counting on the numerous participation of private breeders. These are the best Polish horses, not only those from studs owned by the State Treasury, but also presented by private breeders, are to be a showcase of our country as its breeding elite. The interest in the offer this year is very high, we are counting on very good sales and a great atmosphere.

Online auction invitations and catalogues will be distributed, among others during the prestigious Menton show at the end of June, and in July, there will be a film session of all horses qualified for the auction with the industry-leading Arabian Insider team.
