Aachen: the Nations Cup for Poland third year in a row

For the third time in a row, and fifth in the history of the event, Poland gained the extremely prestigious Lady Harmsworth Blunt Memorial Trophy, also known as the All Nations Cup. This year’s struggles of the world’s best horses in the Albert-Vahle-Halle in Aachen, Germany, brought Poland also a second place in the Breeders Cup classification – The Major T.W.I. Hedley Memorial Trophy – behind breeders from the US.

Among the Arabian horse breeders in Poland there is a group of Catholic clergymen. Priests: ANDRZEJ MAJCHRZAK, STANISŁAW SŁAWIŃSKI and JAN MATWIJISZYN bring together the duties of both parish rector with the running of a breeding stable. Their horses are scoring successes in the show rings and on the race track.

Closely in a week (27-28th September) at Albert-Vahle-Halle in Aachen the XXVIth All Nations Cup will take place – the first title show of the season opening Triple Crown (with European and World Championships) for many breeders considered to be the most exciting, prestigious but also the hardes to compete at.

A recap of the endurance season’s most significant event. During when the eyes of most Arabian enthusiasts were turned to the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski, Warka hosted the most important event in the endurance calendar in Poland: the Polish Senior Championships conducted as part of an international competition.
Sensation in Janów: Valeriana crowned champion! Poganin Best in Show

The second day of the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski brought a considerable sensation: the Senior Champion Mare title went to, contrary to all prognosis, Valeriana (Werter – Vahta/Aspekt), bred and owned by Agricola Farm, though her rivals included such stars as Michałów’s Monogramm daughters: Emmona and Egzonera. In the stallions’ competition there was no sensation: Poganin was the winner and also chosen as Best in Show.
Janów Podlaski Autumn Show: Pasterna and Panicz – Junior Champions

In the shadow of the Nationals in the Summer, but with just as beautiful weather, the first day of the 3rd Autumn Arabian Horse Show took place on Saturday. Much numerous were the halter classes (especially the fillies’), participating in the performance classes were 8 horses privately owned and as tradition has it – also a group of Janów Podlaski’s chief sires. For the first time both titles of Junior Champions were awarded to private bred horses:
Baden: Reserve titles for Primadonna and Milton

The second sunny, though crisp, day of the Casino Cup Championships in Baden near Vienna brought the Poles another two, after Panicz with his Junior Champion, titles: Senior Reserve Champion Mare and Senior Reserve Champion Stallion.
