We already know the schedule of Chrcynno-Palace Open House, organized by the stud owners – Alicja, Ewa and Krzysztof Poszepczyński – inviting breeders, trainers and Arabian horse lovers. The Open House will take part on Monday 11th July after Arabian Horse Days event at Janów Podlaski.
Chrcynno village is located on Mazovia region of Poland, 50 kilometers from Warsaw, nearby Nasielsk. The farm specializes in show horses and was established in 2000 when the first barn was built. Well known show horses as Ganga (Emigrant – Granada), her full sister Gaja Selene, or Psyche Victoria (Ekstern – Pallas Atena) were born there.

Open House will start at 2 pm with a garden party accompanied by relaxing music. About 3 pm the visitors will be invited to indoor arena where the breeding parade will take place. The horses will be presented in female lines order, some of them free. The show will be commented by Tomasz Skotnicki.

Tomasz Skotnicki graduated Warsaw Agricultural University (SGGW) with Arabian horses master thesis. After that he worked at Janów Podlaski state stud as the assistant to the director Andrzej Krzyształowicz, also as the co-establisher of the first auctions at the stud and Polish National show. He was the handler of Janów-bred horses for number of times including Algeria, Enklawa, Etruria, Pilarka or Gondolier on the lead. In 1982 he left for Arizona to be the manager of American Farms and co-organize Scottsdale sales. Afterwards he managed Magness Arabians in California and Colorado. Those times Magness Arabians, importing lots of horses from Poland (including Polish National Champion Fantastka) was the biggest Arabian horse farm in the US. In the meantime Tomasz Skotnicki created the legend of the famous racing horse Monarch AH, sire of Polish-bred outstanding racer Savannah. Nowadays Tomasz Skotnicki is a Honorary Consul of Poland in Colorado working as international consultant also in breeding.

After the breeding parade the guests will be invited for a nice walk along the stud and 5,5 hectares historical park surrounding the palace; some representative apartments of it will also be open for public. The palace designed by Henryk Marconi in XIX century was built in 1845 and is one of the three pearls of the Gothic Revival architecture in this region of Poland. For the last 55 years it was a ruin destroyed by the Soviet army leaving Poland in December 1945. Its current owners restored the past architecture of the palace with original Marconi’s design.

At the end of the Open House day the guests interested in purchasing Chrcynno-Palace horses will be invited to individual talks and horse presentations. There is one of the best producers in Poland offered for sale – dam of the show mares Ganga, Gaja Selene, Gaja Iris and the colt Galahad – a Monogramm daughter out of Polish National Champion Grenlandia Granada. Also the young Panakeja, sired by Ekstern and close relative to one of the best young fillies in Europe – Psyche Victoria – is offered as well as some more young horses: show, breeding and performance prospects.

“We would like to pay our tribute to all of these who have invited us to their studs and shown us their breeding programs and present them and some other Arabian horse enthusiasts our farm and breeding program. We hope that this visit at Chrcynno after exhausting Arabian Horse Days will be a nice addition”, Alicja Poszepczyńska says. “I know myself that visiting studfarms is not only watching beautiful horses but also meeting the Arabian horse community and talking so it’s an occasion to learn and know interesting people. Unfortunately the open house events – such popular in the western countries – are still not very common for Polish breeders. We would like to change it as one of the first private breeders in Poland.
