A daughter of Monogramm and a black stallion representing the champion producing Michałów State Stud’s “E-line” joined Polish breeding on Sunday morning.
Spectacular past sales (and also the current Pride of Poland sale offer of Michałów star Kwestura) are the best proofs that there is kind a “Monogramm’s boom” in the world’s breeding (as we were already pointing on polskiearaby.pl: A run on „Monogramms”).
However, Polish studs are not only selling the Monogramm-daughters out – Polish private studs seem to take care about the number of Monogramm mares to be quite still in Poland. At the end of 2007 Liza Monelli (out of WC Amarige) from the US joined Nazaret Arabians, Poland, and last weekend another one – daughter of very interesting pure Polish mare has arrived in Zalia Arabians.
Czaparall as the new purchased mare is called is a daughter of Czelseas Pony – pure Polish granddaughter of Tersk-bred Palas who, after his purchase to Poland became an epochal horse producing the line of champions including Czaparall’s grandsire – Gondolier, Polish National, European and World Champion Stallion, the first Palas son to be used in Polish breeding and after his purchase in the ’80 has been continuing the breeding career in the US.
Maternal granddam of Czaparall is Janów Podlaski State Stud-bred Czarnuszka, the daughter of Gwarny, chief continuator of Amurath-line in Poland, sire of Swedish and Polish National Champion Stallion – Balon. On her dam’s side Czarnuszka is a descendant of Czarowna and Czapelka – the valuable dam of chief sire Czako bred by Janów Podlaski Stud and used in Polish breeding program. Czapelka’s sire was Magnat – halfsibling to Monogramma, dam of Monogramm.
Czaparall is outstandingly correct broodmare with short back and horizontal topline and excellent, strong fundaments. She is also very Monogramm-like mare – she is now standing next to the first Monogramm daughter purchased by Zalia Arabians not long ago, beautiful grey Michałów-bred Poruta (out of Premia) that is expecting a foal by QR Marc for 2009.
But Czaparall was not the only import of Zalia Arabians this weekend. She came together with a black stallion sired by US National Champion Stallion and representing the champion producing Michałów State Stud’s “E-line”. Envision DH, the 2006 stallion sired by US National Champion Stallion and Region 13 Champion Yearling Colt Ames Charisma (by Magnum Psyche) is out of Jasmin DH – great granddaughter of Michałów Stud-bred Edycja (Nabor – Estokada), full sister to the famous Eskapada and Estebna that established world’s most known Polish family producing the international champions and top selling horses annually. Through his sire, Ames Charisma, Envision is paternal halfbrother to one of the most entitled US bred and owned mares True Desire LL: 2008 Scottsdale Champion, Unanimous Scottsdale Sr. Champion Filly, Unanimous Reg. 12 Champion filly, Unanimous Buckeye Champion filly.
This colt is already the king of his new barn lively reacting to the mares passing by. Despite his young age he is already catching the eye with his nicely shaped and dry head with beautiful eye – and of course the rare color that he will be often passing to his future progeny – being DNA tested as homozygotous black.
The stallion will be available for breeding starting from 2009 season but he would also debut at some European shows this year already if only in good condition.
