On Saturday at the Danish town of Vilhelmsborg, hidden amongst the forests and fields, the European and world’s leading Arabian horses competed at A-class show. Poland had also its representatives – together with Polish-bred and foreign owned horses.
In yearling fillies 10 horses took part with Ekstern daughter Pasterna (out of Pasywa), b/o. by Lech Błaszczyk, and Psytadel daughter Melody (out of Mina), b/o. by Małgorzata and Józef Pietrzak. The second one gained the 4th place scored 89,00 pkt., and Pasterna ended up as 6th with 87,75. The class winner became yearling Versace granddaughter Jumilla (Thee Aprentice – Artemis), scored 91,38., Swedish bred and Dubai Stud owned, in front of WA Magna Rouge by Magnum Gold (US-bred and Al Khaled Farm owned), scored 89,62.

In two-year-old fillies section 9 fillies competed including two Polish: Espiria by Psytadel (out of Ekspiacja), b/o. by Lech Błaszczyk and Psyche Victoria by Ekstern (out of Pallas-Atena), b/o. by Chrcynno-Palace Stud. Psyche Victoria has beaten her rivals winning the class easily with the highest score of the day: 91,75. Espiria gained third place (89,5), after Marwan Al Shaqab daughter GM Marwan Al Shakira, bred in the US and Swedish owned. Fifth (89,25) was Danish bred Girlan-Bey daughter Fazia-B (out of Flota by Etat, out of Fluksja).

There was only one 3-year-old filly to appear at the show – Alia EA by Khidar, Spanish-bred, owned in the UK, but her score was not satisfying enough.

Yearling colts class (12 entries) was won by Jumanci OS by Ajman Moniscione, b/o. by German Stud Osterhof, despite the fatal fall of his handler and the escape of the horse for a while. But the colt was happily caught and scored finally with 91,25 points. Just after him Swedish Bernhard by Rohara Bacara was placed (89,88). This class contender was also Michałów-bred Escapar (out of Escuela), owned in Sweden but he gained a total of just 86,8 points. This class contained also the first “twenty” for movements for TU Saphir IV, Danish bred and owned (Turban Stud) stallion but his final score was only 88,75, giving him fourth place.

Hypnotic Ibn Eternity-D by Eternity Ibn Navarrone-D (Dion Arabians) and ASH Antares by Ekstern, bred in Belgium and owned by Al Khaled Farm (KSA) were strong rivals of this couple. The class was judged strictly: only Altis gained more than 90 pts and he was the winner (with the total of 90,38) in front of his paternal half-brother ASH Dream of Glory (89,88) from Belgium. Hypnotic Ibn Eternity-D ended up as third (89,38), ASH Antares (89,00) as fourth. Lord Bey Shah was as far as 6th (88,33).

The last class of the first day was 4 to 6-year-old stallions where two Polish-bred horses took part: Girlan-Bey by Pesal, b. by Michał Bogajewicz, o. by OKS Arabians in Sweden, and Pilin Psyche by Padrons Psyche, b. by Stanisław Redestowicz, o. by Kielnarowa Stud. His big rival was 2008 Wels National Champion Galinka El Sheikh by CH El Brillo. But Girlan-Bey has proven his quality beating the group with excellent movements scored with 3 “twenties”! With total score of 91,63 he was the winner of the section with Galinka El Sheikh placed second and Pilin Psyche 7th.

Ewa and Krzysztof Poszepczyński, owners of Chrcynno-Palace Stud comment:
“We are very happy that Psyche Victoria proved her quality again. It is also very nice to meet Polish colleagues at the showground here – at Menton we were the only representatives of the country. Vilhelmsborg is surely the place that is worth to be at, with the best horses of this

region, Scandinavia and Germany. And last but not least, the atmosphere here is so peaceful without stress and not too crowded with competitors – a good place to take your horse to. It was also very nice to see Grilan-Bey and Altis showing good disposition”.

On Sunday the final competitions took place. The interesting point for Polish enthusiasts were Polish-bred and foreign owned Pieta by Gazal Al Shaqab bred in Janów and Egna by Eukaliptus bred by Michałów (both owned by Halsdon Arabians) in elder mares, and Janów-bred Beduin by Wojsław – 2008 Blommerod Champion (owned by Turban Stud) – in 7-10-years-old stallions class.
