The always eagerly awaited list of sale horses was revealed today on the website of the organizer of the upcoming auction – Polturf (Arabian Horse Days, 6-10th of August, Pride of Poland Sale: 8th of August, 5:00 pm). After long photo and video sessions, during which every moment of good light and decent weather was literally hunted down and used to the maximum, we can already imagine the dramatic effect of this year’s auction at Janów Podlaski. This time 36 mares will grace the auction stage (the Lot numbers have also been announced), among which we find such superb representatives of Polish breeding as Wilga, dam of the gorgeous Wilda, last year’s Polish National Reserve Champion Mare and Pilar, dam of Pieta (the highest-selling horse of Pride of Poland 2007) and Pinta (the highest-seller of Pride of Poland 2009). This year’s offer includes daughters of Monogramm, Eukaliptus, Laheeb, Gazal Al Shaqab, Ekstern and many other phenomenal sires. While when it comes to damlines, this year the international clientele will be able to battle it out for the heirs of such famous broodmares as Emigracja, Emigrantka, Palestyna, Gehenna, Pipi and Perforacja.
Photos by Stuart Vesty can already be admired on the Pride of Poland website (www.prideofpoland.pl). However we must be a little more patient to see the short videos created by Horsefly Films led by Jen Miller and Sophie Pegrum.
