In a B-class show in Ströhen (Internazionale Tage des Arabischen Pferdes) the Polish line-up, traditionally, took part in most classes. This year’s championship final, that was held last weekend, was quite optimistic. Polish-bred Arabian horses won a quarter of prepared medals. A Michałów-bred Parmana (Al Maraam – Palmira/Monogramm), which is leased to Athbah Stud, after winning the two-year old fillies class (eight horses participated, she scored 91,33 points), won the Junior Mare Champion title. Primadonna (Padrons Psyche – Pelargonia/Alegro), bred by Stanisław Redestowicz, owned by Grabów nad Pilicą Stud, won the 7-9-year old mares class (90,67 points), beating two rivals. She eventually won the Bronze Medal as she was beaten by a 5-year old daughter of WH Justice, Abha Opalina (out of Om El Amira Estopa/Sanadik El Shaklan), bred by Yeguada Ses Planes (Spain) and leased to Al Mohamadia Stud, and by a 10-year old Michałów-bred Ellissara (Laheeb – Ekscella/Monogramm), owned by Athbah Stud, who received 93,67 points in her class. Once again, Girlan-Bey (Pesal – Gracja-Bis/Monogramm), bred by Michał Bogajewicz, brought a lot of joy to his Saudi leaseholders, as he won his class of 7-9-years old stallions, gaining 92,67 points. He beat three rivals and eventually won the title of Senior Stallion Champion. Taking into consideration an absolute domination of the Athbah Stud manager Wojciech Kowalik’s wards, we should appreciate the courage of Tomasz Tarczyński, Primadonna’s owner, who reminded us of show abilities of his mare, that will take part in this year’s auction. In Ströhen, one month before Arabian Horse Days in Janów Podlaski, another argument for potential buyers has been added to her career.
