As announced by the Agricultural Property Agency on their website, the Shareholders Assembly of Janów Podlaski Stud appointed Mateusz Leniewicz-Jaworski as acting board member of Janów Podlaski Stud. “Mateusz Leniewicz-Jaworski has a many year, international experience in Arabian horse breeding”, we read on the APA website. “In recent years he has worked for the largest studs in Europe and the Middle East, including Arctic Tern Center in Belgium, one of the largest training centers for Arabian horses, the Italian Stigler Stud, one of the best stud sin Europe and the Qatari Al Zobara Stud and Al Shaqab”.
„Working at Janów Podlaski, by the side of my former professor from the Horse Breeding Technical College, Mrs. Anna Stefaniuk, the main breeder at the stud for many years, is an honor”, says Leniewicz-Jaworski, when asked to comment. “I am happy that my knowledge and experience will be used in working at such a renowned stud”.
The nomination quickly caused an outpour of comments. A letter was issued by Barbara Mazur (of Polturf, the organizer of the Arabian Horse Days in Janów, including the Pride of Poland Sale) to the APA, informing about the previous activity of Leniewicz-Jaworski, as a horse selling agent, cooperating with Polturf and about his part in leasing Pinga to the Middle East.
„In regard to the letter from Barbara Mazur, owner of Polturf, adressed to the Agricultural Property Agency, I would like to confirm that I have cooperated with her at the Arabian Horse Days, including the Pride of Poland Sale”, tells us Leniewicz-Jaworski. “Polturf is the sole organizer of the auction and shows taking place at Janów Podlaski. Almost everyone associated with this business has cooperated with her”.
„I have also had the great pleasure of cooperating and participating in the lease of World Champion Pinga to a Saudi stud”, he continues. “I am still grateful to Dr Marek Trela for the opportunity to use my many year experience in concluding such contracts. I am happy that my previous activities have earned such trust. It is the result of my entire professional career”.
„The role of promoter and horse selling agent is a natural step in career development in this business”, he adds. “Over the course of recent years I have worked for the largest studs in the Middle East and Europe”.
„Since 2009 I am on the official list of people on the ECAHO Disciplinary Committee. I have received the licence after completing a course under the aegis of official ECAHO instructors (DC International Course, St. Oedenrode, The Netherlands, 2009). I have never claimed that I represented Poland in ECAHO. In my career I have many times been a member of international disciplinary committees during the largest Arabian horse shows in Europe and the Middle East, including such countries as Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Palestine, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Norway, Germany and Belgium.”
