Belongs to internationally most well-known Arabian horse photographers. He “is everywhere and knows everybody”. His photos are regularly published in horse magazines and books worldwide but also in many studfarms’ brochures, postcards and other promoting materials dedicated to horses.
Born in 1959 Erwin just loves horses since he was ten. Soon he felt in love with Arabian horses and bought his first when he was 16. The next step was to take photos of his beloved horse and this is how all the story of Erwin’s profession began. He takes photos from all horse breeds but is specialized in Arabian horses – for him the most beautiful breed in the world. Together with his wife Annette he founded Straight Egyptian stud situated in Bavaria/Germany called Rothenberg, that specializes in breeding black SE horses.
In his daily work he is more concentrated on good, solid photos but Erwin has also his very own idea of more artificial photos – rearing stallions in the sunset or mares which enjoy the winter time. He will catch everything with his camera.
