Emandoria in the US Nationals by Nancy Pierce

Not longer than a week ago the 2007 US Nationals in Albuquerque began – and we already know the results of the first competitions of Polish breeding representatives at this prestigious event.

The first to compete – at Junior Mare Breeding was three years old Emandoria (Gazal Al Shaqab – Emanda), bred and owned by Michałów Stud, on lease to Pride of Poland US, LLC. Due to the time zones difference Emandoria was the only Polish horse that we could watch on live stream in Poland during the day time so far. Unfortunately, just before Emandoria’s start the stream broke down and came back for the Top Ten announcing so we could have seen that Emandoria was qualified to the group of ten mares that will compete at the finals. As we wrote in our US Nationals preview the strong rivals of Emandoria were: 2006 Top Ten

US National and Canadian Junior Reserve Champion – Magnums Julep (Magnum Psyche – Beyon Fire) and chestnut Kharmel (Khadraj NA – SF Georgia) trained at Midwest Training Center by David Boggs – both mares were also qualified to Top Ten.

Few hours after Emandoria her ex-stable mate competed – twelve years old Michałów-bred Elandra (Monogramm – Erlanda), sold at 2005 Pride of Poland sale to US and re-sold to Mystica Arabians (Perth, Australia). The mare successfully competed at Senior Mare Breeding that was not divided into qualifications and finals so we already known Elandra’s final result at 2007 US Nationals – she became Reserve Champion!
One of her biggest rivals, as we mentioned, was Magnum Psyche’s daughter – Maggdalina,

out of Pure Polish Zolina (by Andrzejevo), 2000 US National Junior Yearling Filly, 2004 US and Canadian Futurity Champion Filly and 2004 US National Champion Filly. This year, for the beginning, she won two regional shows to be finally announced 2007 National Champion in Albuquerque. 2006 US National Reserve Champion GAA Millenia (Magnum Psyche – Bey Cherie Amore by Bey Shah), owned by Oakrigde Arabians and Leslie Rogers – that we put to the group of the favorites before the competition was named Top Ten.

We are now impatiently waiting for the further Emandoria’s start in finals that will take place on Friday, 26 October, 7:00 pm.

At their classes’ Top Tens also some other Polish-related horses were placed. First of them was Aria Egzalt (by Gazal Al Shaqab), born in US during his dam’s, Michałów-bred Egzonera lease to Jade Creek Arabians (US). Aria Egzalt is owned by Pride of Poland US, LLC and competed at Yearling Colt/Gelding Breeders Sweepstakes, Top Ten qualified.

At Arabian Yearling Filly Breeders Sweepstakes Top Ten Fellada JCA by Jake Jamaal JCA out of Michałów Studs’ Fallada was placed. The filly was also born at Jade Creek Arabians.

At Arabian Reining Horse Futurity 5 & Under finals the son of Michałów’s Kwestura will compete: born at Mike Nichols’ stud – Kubla Khan NA by Monar, as well as the outstanding son of Michałów-bred Kawalkada and living legend – Monogramm: Kornwall born at Dunromin Arabians that will compete at Arabian Western Pleasure finals.

Thanks to Nancy Pierce and her stunning pictures, as the first Arabian horse medium in Poland we can show how wonderfully Emandoria and Elandra looked during their competitions at Albuquerque, New Mexico!
