Just few months ago we have shown here the very first foal’s picture – out of one of the best Polish-bred mares of past years – Triplecrowned Pianissima bred by Janów Podlaski Stud, on lease to US. In the meantime, her Michałów-bred relative – World and European Junior Champion Mare, twice Polish National Res. Champion elected also US National Junior Champion Mare couple of weeks ago – Emandoria (Gazal Al Shaqab – Emanda/Ecaho), is expecting three US-bred foals already as well.

Current leaseholders of both mares, Pride of Poland Partners LLC, offers the breedings to selected stallions and both mares embryos. In effect, three years old Emandoria, being still in training at Greg Gallun’s center is currently expecting three foals at one time by: Enzo (Padrons Psyche – RD Bey Shahmpane, twice United States National Champion and Reserve, Scottsdale Unanimous Champion Stallion), El Nabila B (Kubiniec – Elf Layla Walayla B, Brazilian National Champion and Top Ten Scottsdale) and Eden C (Enzo – Silken Sable, Arabian Breeders World Cup Champion Colt, US National Champion Yearling Colt and Region VII Yearling Champion).

Enzo’s foal, owned by Pomeroy Arabians, US, is expected to be born on 21 April 2008 while El Nabila B’s is expected for 11 May 2008 at Hennessey Arabians, Florida. This sired by Eden C is owned by Emandoria’s maternal stud – Michałów and as a yearling it will probably come back with it’s dam to Poland between 2008/2009.

What’s interesting – both Polish mares are being bred to similar stallions – there are also El Nabila B, Eden C and Enzo foals expected out of Pianissima. Considering the successes of both mares it will not be the last foals out of these two champions to be born while on lease to US probably. Though embryotransfer is still very controversial method of horse breeding around the world it becomes more popular still and one can be sure – it gives a chance for Polish horses to influence world’s breeding even more than before.
