Pianissima, Al Khalediah Show, by Erwin Escher

Not long ago one of the most beautiful Polish Arabian mares in the post war history of breeding that has also proven her abilities in the European, American and Middle Eastern showgrounds winning the titles of Triplecorowned Junior Champion of the World, Europe, All Nations Cup as well as Polish & US Nationals and the shows in Bialka (PL), Falborek (PL) and Scottsdale (US) – came back to her maternal stud of Janów Podlaski. On the way back she added the title of Ist International Al Kalediah Show Champion (KSA) to her gains (we informed on polskiearaby.pl about it. See also our coverage from the Al Khalediah Arabian Horse Festival).

The proofs of great interest that Pianissima generates wherever appeared are the transactions of purchase her embryo rights. This week the Midwest stud and training center of US that assists the transactions of purchase of horses, breedings and embryo rights announced the sale of Pianissima’s unborn foal sired by Top Ten Scottsdale Stallion and Brasilian National Champion El Nabila B (Kubinec – Elf Layla Walayla B). The sale is quite sensational as this unborn foal has changed the owner for the second time before it’s birth so far. The embryo rights were purchased last year from Pianissima’s leasers (Pride of Poland USA, LLC) by Australian Mystica Arabians stud – the current owner of 2007 Scottsdale Champion and US National Reserve Champion Mare, Michałów-bred Elandra as well. Jeff and Robyn McGlinn of Mystica Arabians didn’t manage to make the best of this foal – it will finally be born in the Middle East at Ajman Stud owned by the Crowned Prince Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.

This foal will be one of the five Pianissima’s gets already announced officially. First two fillies were born last year. The elder one – EVG Piossandra is a chestnut sired by US and Canadian National Reserve Jr. Champion and the Champion of Scottsdale show – Pershahn El Jamaal (Ali Jamaal – Perfectshahn SRA). This filly being owned by Evergreen Arabians, California will be a yearling on 11th March this year. The second one was born on 20th May 2007 at Brookville Arabians, US sired by Ames Charisma (Magnum Psyche – Ames Mirage), US National Yearling Champion and the Yearling Champion of Region 13.

The other embryos due to this season are: expected at Ponderosa Arabians (US) sired by Enzo (Padrons Psyche – RD Bey Shahmpane; his titles incl. twice US Champion and Reserve Championships and Scottsdale Champion) and the second one, owned by Al Bidayer Stud (UAE) is sired by Enzo’s son Eden C (Enzo – Silken Sable). Pianissima’s embryo just purchased will be the second one expected to be born in the Middle East then. Happily the dam is back home already and as the owner says – doing very well. She is already in foal probably – this time the foal will be delivered naturally next spring at Janów Podlaski Stud.
