Nothing like an Arabian!
JERZY ZBYSZEWSKI, better known as George Z, was born and graduated in Poland, but has been living in the US for 27 years. Prior to his departure, he worked at state studs. In 1981 he found his way to Sir William Farm in Arizona and so his international career began. He is an exceptional figure in the world of Arabian horse breeders and enthusiasts – it is thanks to him that stars such as Emanor, Kwestura, Zagrobla, Fallada, El Dorada, Ganges or even Pianissima came to the US. Apart from that he is a renowned judge and expert on Arabian horse breeding.
No Triple Crown in USA in the 2008 racing season
Unfortunately no filly swept the crown this year. The third leg of the Coast to Coast Triple Crown racing tournament ending with the Cre Run Oaks (G2), a 1 1/16 mile endeavour on July 5, dashed all hopes for the crowned winner in the 2008 USA Arabian horse racing season.
The Nationals, Internationals and Regionals in Kuźnia (17-20 July)
The weekend of the 17th-20th of July was a busy date for the Kuźnia Nowowiejska Equestrian Center (near Żyrardów), as the club held competitions in endurance racing: the Polish National Championships for Young Riders and Juniors, an international competition and an All-Polish competition in this discipline. Altogether nearly 40 pairs from Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Sweden competed in 7 contests.
Psyche Victoria Junior Champion Mare in Vilhelmsborg
The Sunday competition at Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, began with the class of 4-6-year-old mares. Ten beautiful contenders appeared with Janów-bred Pieta by Gazal Al Shaqab (owned by Halsdon Arabians) among them. She scored 91,63 points including a “20” for movements and placed second beaten by German Aishaa by A.S. Natsir Apal
Denmark: Psyche Victoria, Altis and Girlan-Bey leading the classes
On Saturday at the Danish town of Vilhelmsborg, hidden amongst the forests and fields, the European and world’s leading Arabian horses competed at A-class show. Poland had also its representatives – together with Polish-bred and foreign owned horses.
Gigi Grasso for Africa
Gigi Grasso – one of the most renowned Arabian horse photographers – dedicated his newest album “Gigi Grasso – 20 Years of Photography” to the children and youth from the valley of Congo river. AA Assal crowned Champion in Ströhen
During the last weekend, in the B show championship in Ströhen organized traditionally on the premises of the stud and zoological gardens of the Ismer family, only a couple of horses from Poland were presented. Chrcynno-Palace Open House
We already know the schedule of Chrcynno-Palace Open House, organized by the stud owners – Alicja, Ewa and Krzysztof Poszepczyński – inviting breeders, trainers and Arabian horse lovers. The Open House will take part on Monday 11th July after Arabian Horse Days event at Janów Podlaski.

Last weekend Polish bred horses were competing at several shows in two continents.
The biggest group took part in Scandinavian Open at Blommerod/Sweden. The three competitors from Norwegian show last weekend waiting at Blommerod – Kashira from Bełżyce Arabians, Daisy FF of Tomasz Tarczyński and Elmaran of Wojciech Parczewski
